Summary

When Isagi floats the alliance, Kaiser asks whether he has lost his mind, noting Isagi still wants him dead. Isagi argues that neither of them can beat Rin alone and that merging their high-level logic is the only path, wanting to prove learners can defeat geniuses by diving into a version of himself that treats emotion and talent as tools. Kaiser recognizes Isagi is entirely sane and asks who would take the final goal. Isagi proposes leaving it to whatever route is most logical, in other words luck, and abandoning ego to become machines engineered only to win.

Kaiser says he still hates him but will think it over, and Isagi admits he still wants to smash Kaiser, seeing the deal as a rational way for both to get what they want, to overtake Rin and bury Noa. Kaiser accepts the devil's contract.

Key Events

Isagi and Kaiser agree to combine forces for the finish. With the masters gone, Kunigami replaces Noa and Gabon comes on for Loki, and Rin swears to flatten them all. From the bench Loki grumbles that Isagi needs to watch his mouth, but Noa counters that the boy was not wrong and that they may have awoken his ego. Noa concedes that Ego exploited their hunger for fresh egos, luring them into his lab to speed the members' evolution, while Ego watches and remarks it took the geniuses long enough to notice.
