Chapter 300: Innocent

Even after being cut, Seishiro Nagi tells Reo Mikage that he feels at peace. He apologizes for the pass that broke the vow the two had made, but Reo cuts him off to comfort him, confessing regret for having pressured Nagi into a sport he never seemed to enjoy. Nagi gently pushes back, insisting he was happy and that only Reo's prodding let him uncover so many unfamiliar sides of himself.

Nagi opens up further, recalling how he began to miss Reo during their brief split in the Second Selection and how, before Reo walked into his life, he found everything tiresome. Since their meeting, he says, he had come to treasure their time together. Yet he wonders whether that closeness itself blunted his drive, musing that had they stayed apart, they might have reached their shared dream of standing atop the world.

Bidding Reo farewell, Nagi urges him to chase the summit alone. The remaining competitors look on in silence, all but Isagi, who calls out and begs Nagi to keep playing. Nagi turns toward him without a word, a new fire lit in his gaze, and walks through the loser's gate as the Neo Egoist League is declared over.

Nagi and Reo reconcile over the promise Nagi broke, and Nagi releases Reo to pursue their goal on his own. Isagi's plea for Nagi to continue goes unanswered aloud, though a renewed spark shows in Nagi's eyes as he exits. With Nagi's departure, the Neo Egoist League officially concludes.

Running under the Japanese title Inosento, this milestone 300th chapter is the sixth in Volume 34 and closes out the Neo Egoist League Arc, which serves as Phase 2 of the Blue Lock Project before the U-20 World Cup phase opens.
