Unlimited, the eightieth Blue Lock chapter, carries on the Second Selection clash between Team Red and Team White with the score level at three apiece. Exhaustion grips both sides, Tokimitsu's endless engine cracks the defense, and Rin buries a free kick to edge ahead.
The fourth stage bout stays deadlocked as Isagi feeds Nagi, who is shadowed by Aryu, then returns it only for Rin to poke the ball loose. Chigiri slides in to deny Rin the loose ball, apologizing that he was not quicker. When Isagi checks on his knee, Chigiri brushes it off as low stamina and tells him to worry about Rin instead, half-threatening him if he loses the duel. Isagi notices every player is running on fumes and expects it to start warping their passing and movement.
From an Aryu throw-in, Rin and Tokimitsu trade quick one-twos to punch through the middle, and Isagi realizes Tokimitsu seems to have no ceiling on his stamina. As he nears the goal, Baro and Chigiri lunge at him together, and both draw yellow cards, Baro for a tackle from behind and Chigiri for a reckless slide, each protesting the decision.
Standing 25 meters out, Rin lines up the free kick while Isagi and Chigiri build a two man wall. Rin fires just over Isagi's head with enough spin to drop the ball behind him and score, mocking Isagi's slow leap since Isagi had also braced for a pass. Watching the two of them collide, Bachira sees that both are ruled by their egos and begins asking what drives his own love of the game.
Almost everyone on the pitch is spent from sustained top-level play. Rin and Tokimitsu combine on a one-two, and Tokimitsu bulldozes through the center on his tireless legs. The double foul from Baro and Chigiri hands Team Red the set piece and earns both defenders yellow cards. Rin then converts a pinpoint, high-speed free kick to break the tie.
