Appearance

Two oversized ears jut from the upper part of his head, the trait that gives him his name. The rest of him is a brawny, humanlike shape sheathed in warped, smooth flesh, with a wide gaping maw broken by a small tear beside the lips. Dark trousers and shoes finish the look, and he tends to hunch forward.

Personality

He is only ever shown carrying out Public Safety's orders, so there is next to nothing to read about who he really is.

History

Public Safety summons him for the rebuilt Special Division 5, setting the squad against Chainsaw Man. Their commander hands down the orders and they move out, none of them noticing that their target is standing directly behind them. Pochita tears through the division before anyone can react, ripping the members apart. Once he finishes off Divisions 5 and 6, he swallows the Ear Devil's severed head and erases him from existence, an act that strips the ears from every living person and leaves the whole world deaf.

The loss proves short-lived. Public Safety answers by pairing the Aging Devil with the Octopus Devil that Hirofumi Yoshida commands, forcing Pochita to bring the head back up so that everyone's hearing returns. Because the attack came so fast and from behind, the Ear Devil never had the chance to use whatever powers he held.
