Gyohnee Guillotine

When Public Safety opens fire on Asa and Fami, Fami casts down her Devil Effigy just in time, calling forth the pigeon-headed Guillotine Devil. Told to slaughter every officer, the creature instead strips them of weapons and clothing, prompting the guards to give up. Fami presses it on why it let the men live and receives only a garbled screech. Asked why she held the effigy back so long, the Famine Devil notes that, beyond certain hidden limits, the devils she starves cannot reach full strength under her command. The officer who called the surrender lunges at Asa, but she deflects the punch and lets Yoru land a kick fierce enough to floor him; the two trade praise while the beaten man pleads for mercy.

A door then swings open on three new arrivals, Haruka flanked by Seigi and Nobana, and the Guillotine Devil's shriek frightens Nobana. Haruka waves the others behind him and orders Fami to leave. She obliges while their club president recounts how her scheming wrecked his family's lives, even landing him and his clubmates on the nation's most-wanted list. He strips both her and Asa of their club membership and proclaims his independence, drawing an indifferent reaction from Fami. Asa then clarifies that the pair came not for the club's members but for Chainsaw Man. Thrilled at the chance to finally meet his hero, Haruka chooses to come along, and his fellow members fall in beside him.

Published March 13, 2024 in Volume 18, this Aging Devil arc chapter is titled Gyoni Girochin. It introduces the Guillotine Devil's odd streak of mercy and pivots Haruka's club from Fami's pawns into willing allies set on meeting Chainsaw Man.
