Maaya Uchida

Uchida voices Angel Devil in the original Japanese-language broadcast of Chainsaw Man, joining a MAPPA-produced cast built from established industry talent. The part sits alongside a long list of prominent anime credits she has built since her 2010 debut, making her casting a recognizable addition for longtime fans of the medium. Her presence in the show reflects the pull the franchise has had in drawing in performers already known for headline roles elsewhere.

Uchida's breakout roles include Rikka Takanashi, the chuunibyou heroine of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, and Hiyori Iki, the death god at the center of Noragami, credits that established her as a lead actress early in her career. She went on to play Norman from The Promised Neverland and voice the reincarnated villainess Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess. Her performances have been honored with Best Rookie Actress and Foreign Movie/Series prizes from the Seiyu Awards. She has also recorded as a singer since 2014, filling major venues such as Nippon Budokan and Yoyogi National Gymnasium. She is also the older sibling of voice actor Yuma Uchida.
