Alisa

By the time of the series Alisa is a woman of thirty, a native of Ganymede with dark hair and brown eyes. She carries herself with the easy warmth of someone accustomed to running a room full of regulars, even as years of hard luck press down on her.

Independence sits at the core of who she is. Long ago she found a steady relationship suffocating and chose to leave rather than lose herself inside it, and even when Jet presses for answers she stays guarded, unwilling to lay everything bare at once. She owns her choices plainly, admitting some were badly mistaken while insisting they were still hers to make.

In the early 2060s, while Jet served with the ISSP, Alisa was his partner for a long stretch. Feeling she had no life of her own within the relationship, she ended it without warning, leaving nothing but a watch and a short note that read "Farewell." She later took up with Rhint Celonias, a protective companion with whom she built something steady.

By 2071 she was running a bar called La Fin, but foot traffic in the area had thinned and money grew tight. A loan from Law Rentzuo turned into a trap once he came around to threaten her over repayment. Celonias killed Rentzuo defending her, which saddled him with a bounty, and between the debt and the danger she resolved to shut the place down.

On the final night of business, Jet turned up unexpectedly while passing through Ganymede. Cheerful in front of him, she introduced Rhint and brushed off any worry about the closing. Once Jet realized Rhint was wanted and gave chase, he caught the fleeing couple, and only then did Alisa explain that she had left him all those years back to claim a measure of independence. Jet accepted the answer and moved on.
