Convenience store clerk

The film never assigns this woman a proper name, and its records identify her purely by the job she works. The closing credits label her as a female cashier, while the shooting script simply tags her as the clerk. Beyond her presence behind the store counter, no detailed visual profile accompanies the small role.

Little of her temperament comes through on screen, since she features only for the span of a single holdup. She behaves as any ordinary employee might when a weapon swings toward her, obeying the orders barked at her and enduring a strange, meandering speech from one of the men robbing the place.

During 2071 she is on shift at a convenience store when Rengie and a handful of accomplices burst inside to rob it. Ordered to put her hands up, she is made to listen while Rengie launches into a rambling account of himself, oddly opening with a question about what separates a beef stew from an ordinary stew. None of the raiders realize that Spike Spiegel and Jet Black are quietly converging on the same location. Rengie spends so long talking that the two hunters reach the store and capture the entire group before the heist can amount to anything.
