Dig

The character is a male criminal, but the series supplies no closer look at him beyond that. What survives of him on screen is his conduct during a single prison-ship uprising rather than any described features.

Dig proves rash and hot-blooded under strain. Rather than exploit a captive who could have served as leverage, he lets frustration get the better of him and lashes out with lethal force, a choice that costs him dearly.

Dig is locked up aboard a prison ship bound for Pluto when a technical failure cracks the vessel's security, letting him and his fellow inmates break free and mount a successful revolt. The escapees take command of the ship and cut down most of the crew. One surviving crewman, a pilot, keeps urging the prisoners to give themselves up, and although the man is worth far more alive as a hostage, Dig kills him out of frustration. Udai Taxim, judging the act reckless, resolves to put Dig down for it.
