Shahab

Weathered and bearded, Shahab wears his black hair streaked with gray, framed by a full beard of the same shade above a pair of brown eyes. His outfit leans earthy and plain: a brown tunic layered over a dark dress shirt, paired with matching brown trousers that suit the modest bar he keeps.

The show sketches only a thin outline of Shahab's character, but a streak of caution stands out. When Asimov turns up trying to unload a stash of Red Eye, Shahab is wary rather than eager, doubting the pitch and demanding proof before he will commit to any purchase.

Asimov and his partner Katerina step into the El Ray, and Asimov slips into the backroom to broker a sale of a hundred vials of Red Eye to Shahab. Convinced the offer is a bluff, Shahab tells him to clear out, but Asimov presses on, insisting the product is genuine. To settle the doubt, Asimov doses himself with the drug, describing the rush as though he had mainlined god. At that moment Red Dragon Syndicate men storm the bar, and one of them, Tommy, confronts the pair and guns Shahab down.
