Appearance

Athletically built and of middling height, N'Doul keeps his dark hair untidy, and his sightless eyes sit almost shut. Over a plain shirt he layers a striped overshirt and a cloth draped for shade against the desert sun, finishing with armbands, simple trousers and shoes, a headband, and a pair of bracelet-like earrings.

Personality

A proud user fiercely loyal to DIO, N'Doul styles himself the great N'Doul and thinks nothing of taking on the entire Joestar Group alone. Even trapped by Jotaro he stakes everything on one last all-or-nothing strike rather than beg, and he shows a streak of honor by handing vital knowledge to the man who beats him. That pride can tip into overconfidence, and Avdol nearly draws him into the open by faking footsteps.

Having held Geb since childhood, he has passed his life without fear of anything, death included. He credits DIO alone with recognizing his worth and giving him a reason to live, a debt he repays by turning his own Stand on himself after losing, so none of DIO's secrets can be pried from him. Unusual for a villain, he genuinely admires a clever opponent, and he owns the evil in himself and his master without apology.

History

N'Doul was a blind man whose Stand let him move through life untouched by fear or consequence; even the authorities never pinned his crimes on him, though no one ever grasped what he was truly capable of. That changed when he met DIO, whose presence captivated him and whom he came to regard as his savior. His Geb is a Stand of living water that he directs from afar and shapes at will, most lethally into a cutting jet that slices flesh, while his own extraordinary hearing lets him pin down a target by the faint sounds of footsteps or sand and read vibrations through his cane across great distances.

He surfaces just after Iggy joins the crusaders, killing the helicopter's pilots and then wounding Kakyoin's eyes in his opening assault. Once Avdol works out that N'Doul locates them purely by sound, Jotaro presses the reluctant Iggy into service as the only one able to sense the water strikes, then hurls Iggy and The Fool at the assassin with Star Platinum to catch him off guard and close in for the win. Rather than let Hermit Purple pull DIO's secrets from his memories, N'Doul takes his own life with Geb, using his final breaths to name the remaining nine Stand users. Moved by his conviction, Jotaro buries him with honor.
