Appearance
Long brown hair juts out in a single bang down the right side of this captain, who dresses in a white cloak, black trousers, and black sandals with wrapping bound around the right leg. His mask differs between the two versions of the story: in the manga it carries a downward triangle from the crown and a short stroke rising from the right eye, while the anime swaps those for four yellow lines sweeping inward on each side. Both keep the bird motif intact.
Abilities
His rank alone marks him as a capable operative, since the Anbu draw from the village's strongest. What he clearly demonstrated was a command of Wind Release, wielding the Wind Cutter Technique to good effect against one of Pain's summoned beasts.

History
He joined the Third Hokage and a fellow Anbu on an infiltration of a hidden bunker, chasing whoever was behind a string of vanishing village shinobi. Once the traps were cleared, the culprit proved to be Orochimaru, who lashed out with a wave of sound and slipped away toward the border of the Land of Fire.
During Pain's assault he teamed with two other captains, Zo among them, to hold off a giant many-headed dog summon. In the anime the trio deploy a coordinated Formation B to stall the creature long enough for Shizune's group to withdraw.
