A ghoul whose true name never surfaced, she was the older sibling of Nishiki Nishio and the closest thing he had to a guardian. Living rough at his side, she was ultimately turned in to investigators by a human lover and killed for what she was.
Only the anime offers a real look at her. There, her hair reaches down toward her shoulders in a shade that closely echoes the tone of her brother Nishiki's own.
Toward her younger brother she took on the role of a parent, patient and protective. She pressed him to accept a hard truth, that feeding on people was simply the price of a ghoul's survival, even while he recoiled at the idea of killing.
She surfaces in a flashback tied to Nishiki's confrontation with Tsukiyama during the Gourmet arc. The pair are shown sharing a threadbare tent, and she guides her brother through his reluctance to hunt. Even so, she moved freely among humans, going as far as courting a well-off shopkeeper so the two of them could live in more comfort.
That gamble ended in tragedy. The very man she trusted exposed her to the CCG, who then put her to death. Nishiki later hunted the informant down and killed him to settle the score.
