Kira Buckland

In the English-language version of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, produced by studio Ufotable, Buckland plays two contrasting parts. Her most prominent is Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, one of the elite swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps. She also voices Mukago, one of the demons serving among the Twelve Kizuki. The pairing of a beloved heroine with a villainous role sits naturally within a body of work that spans both protagonists and antagonists across many franchises.

Buckland has supplied English voices for dubbed Japanese anime, animation, and games since 2004. Her credits include Jolyne Cujoh and Reimi Sugimoto in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, 2B in Nier: Automata, Trucy Wright in the Ace Attorney series, and Hiyoko Saionji and Kirumi Tojo in the Danganronpa series. She has voiced Qingyi in Zenless Zone Zero, Celine and Elise Schwarzer in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, Talim in Soulcalibur VI (which also featured 2B as a guest fighter), Beatrice in Re:Zero, Izumo Kamiki in Blue Exorcist, and Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact. Further roles include Mary Saotome in Kakegurui, Falke in Street Fighter V, Edna in Tales of Zestiria, Ari in the Class of '09 series, and Marie in Skullgirls.

Buckland's wide-ranging filmography reflects steady demand across both Japanese imports and original Western productions.
