History

When the program breaks down, Keita and Musashi bolt from the JSSDF in their T•RIDEN•T units and run for the Hakone region, a flight that drags NERV into the incident. The unit Raiden joins the chase, and its pilot is badly hurt in a plunge over a waterfall.

The remaining machine, Shinden, slips detection by hiding in Lake Ashi until a trap baited with Mana lures it into the open. Evangelion units shoot it down in a joint JSSDF and NERV operation, and an N² bomb erases what remains.
