Gameplay

Like other Kouryaku Series entries, it reproduces the reel timing, ball physics, and bonus triggers of one specific real machine so players can practice reading its patterns. The Nintendo DS version adapts the same loop to the handheld's buttons and touch screen, standing in for the lever and stop-button inputs of the arcade original.

Machine / Series Context

This is the eleventh PlayStation 2 volume in the series and one of the few Evangelion pachinko titles to also reach a portable Nintendo DS release, showing D3 Publisher pushing the line beyond its usual PS2-only footprint during this stretch of the franchise.
