Gameplay

Rather than following the main Evangelion story, the app reframes the Angels as small, cutesy creatures for a lighthearted spinoff tone, part of a wave of merchandise and apps built around the franchise's 20th anniversary in 2015. Development and Release

Media Magic, the same studio behind several earlier Evangelion mobile apps, released Yurushito Angel Drop for Android on September 4, 2015, with an iOS version following that December. A subsequent update added forty additional stages along with a new boss.
