White armor over Unit-02's leftover flesh: NERV Germany's entry in the Evangelion arms race appears in the ANIMA novels with Hikari Horaki in the pilot seat. Half its control rests with a dummy system, and traces of Kyoko Zeppelin Sohryu may still cling to its frame.
Evangelion EURO-II Heurtebise enters the story in the Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA novels as a custom production model flown by Hikari Horaki, who shares control with a dummy plug system. NERV Germany assembled it from surplus parts of Evangelion Unit-02, which is why the two machines look nearly identical apart from Heurtebise's white finish. The stalled project only resumed after a Lance of Longinus strike claimed 1.9 million lives, and its construction drew on intelligence that Kensuke Aida traded to the Germans during his time in the intelligence department. Because Unit-02's core never bonded with the new body, Kyoko Zeppelin Sohryu's soul stayed with Asuka; Hikari is told that something like an imprint of her may nonetheless linger in the unit.
Heurtebise runs on an N2 Reactor derived from the UX-1 Allegorica pack and mounts paired Q.R. Signums in its shoulder pylons, components that double as power sources. The build process left it without any core, and the mental pollution the Q.R. Signums cause is contained by handing half the unit's control to the dummy system and, early on, by medicating the pilot. Its armament pairs a sword sheathed at the hip with a cross-shaped spear whose tip projects an A.T. Field; a compartment within the spear preserves a remnant of Kodama Horaki, turned to salt by the Longinus Curtain over Europe.
Developed at NERV Berlin as a testbed for Unit-02 weaponry and equipment, the unit first strikes during the relief operation in Hokkaido, ambushing Shinji Ikari's Super Evangelion while United Nations riot-control vehicles pin the larger machine down with projected gravitational waves. Super Evangelion eventually rises and tears off one of Heurtebise's arms together with a Q.R. Signum, but the white unit rebounds off its opponent's palm, dodges a forest of Angel Carrier hands, and escapes on Allegorica-style wings. After the battle on the Moon, both the Evangelion and its pilot fall under Armaros' contamination, and Hikari turns openly hostile toward NERV Japan and her old friends even as her bond with Tōji Suzuhara endures.
Hikari Horaki pilots the unit, often appearing entranced at the controls, with the dummy plug system acting as her constant co-pilot and whatever remains of Kyoko Zeppelin Sohryu possibly riding along as an imprint. EURO-II is technically the code name while Heurtebise is the official designation, taken from the French angel in Jean Cocteau's works to honor the international collaboration. The design later received an EVANGELION EVOLUTION figure modeled by Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, released in December 2022 after a 2020 Wonder Festival prototype.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
