A transforming TAKARA TOMY figure, Evangelion Prime Unit-01 mashes Optimus Prime together with the Evangelion Test Type-01. Created for the EVANGELION 30th Anniversary x Transformers crossover under the SYNERGENEX line, it swaps between robot and vehicle modes and even hides a berserk face.
Also marketed as Evangelion Prime 01, this collectible celebrates thirty years of EVANGELION by fusing its iconic first unit with the leader of the Autobots. TAKARA TOMY produces the figure within its SYNERGENEX series as the centerpiece of EVANGELION 30th Anniversary x Transformers. The toy was first shown during the inaugural T-SPARK LIVE stream on 25 September 2025 with shipping planned for late August 2026 at a suggested ¥11,000.
The figure converts between two configurations. Robot mode recreates the shoulder-mounted weapon racks and borrows Unit-01's chest styling, while the midsection keeps Optimus Prime's familiar grill reshaped into the Eva's V-shaped abdominal lines; the feet carry Unit-01's orange soles under green covers. Vehicle mode dresses the truck in the Eva's purple, green, and black scheme, with an Autobot emblem on the left flank answered by a NERV insignia on the right.
A Core Matrix sits in the chest, merging the Matrix concept with the Evangelion core; it pops out to be gripped in the hands or mounted on the included base. The head blends Optimus Prime's design with the horn, cheek armor, and chin of Unit-01, and a face-swap gimmick moves between masked and unmasked looks. Removing the mask exposes the Eva's unmistakable mouth, which can be opened to recreate a berserk expression.
Underneath, the product is a retool of the 2018 "Legendary Optimus Prime" from the Bumblebee film line: new chest, pelvis, biceps, and head, with the old shoulder pads rebuilt as pylons. The original Ion Blaster accessory was resculpted to echo the EM-226 Gatling weapon from the Rebuild films, and a 5mm port rack lets every accessory store on the figure's back.
NERV is credited as the fictional operator. The armament set includes one Ion Gatling Blaster, a pair of Progressive Energy Knives whose blades mimic Optimus Prime's energy weapon, and the Axe of Cassius, a hybrid of the Autobot leader's Energy Axe and the Spear of Cassius that stands as the figure's signature arm.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
