Shinkalion 500 TYPE EVA Positron Form

The Positron Form appears in the Plarail Shinkalion CW toyline connected to Shinkalion: Change the World, operated by the Evolution Railway Development Agency with Shinji Ikari at the controls. Rather than a standalone machine, it is a two-vehicle combination pairing the Shinkalion 500 TYPE EVA (CW) with the ERDA Positron Rifle support vehicle.

The base Shinkalion anchors the merge while the rifle vehicle splits into add-on hardware. Its main body reassembles into a fresh set of legs, the forward cannon becomes a handheld gun, and a section of the counterweight armors the pelvis. The black mechanical rig from the vehicle's rear mounts on the right shoulder as a scope assembly, sweeping the existing shoulderpad backward, while the Shinkalion's original leg parts fold in behind the thighs and a shield clamps onto the left forearm.

Its signature weapon is the Positron Rifle, a rapid-firing gun that ERDA engineered using combat data from NERV, supplemented by the G-Type Unit.

Shinji Ikari pilots the combined form for ERDA. TAKARA TOMY sold the configuration as the Plarail Shinkalion CW 500 TYPE EVA Positron Form set on 6 December 2025 for 7,920 yen, bundling the base robot, the rifle, and the merged mode together. The toy also accepts an Outdoor 275kV Ultra-High Voltage Normal Transformer accessory on its back, drawn from the plastic-rail set themed on NERV's private railway and Operation Yashima.
