Asuka's signature palette spreads across Toho's mechanical dragon in this GODZILLA vs EVANGELION variant, which applies the colors of the Evangelion Production Model-02 to the upgraded Kiryū (Kai) from Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. Nearly a decade of toys, plastic models, game skins, and trading cards carry the design.
The Type 3 Kiryū (Kai) EVA Unit-02 Color Ver. is one of the recurring recolors in the GODZILLA vs EVANGELION collaboration. Its silhouette comes from the Mechagodzilla Type 3 (Kai), the refit version featured in the film Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., while its paint references the Evangelion Production Model-02 of the Rebuild continuity.
The design lives almost entirely in merchandise and games. Bandai opened the run on 1 June 2016 by announcing a 32cm toy in the Toho 30cm series, the Type 3 Kiryū Heavy Arms 2003 Edition in EVA-02 color, which shipped that November for 29,160 yen with tax. Aoshima followed with a 240mm plastic model in PS, ABS, and PVC, announced on 21 September 2021 for the EVA GLOBAL store at 13,500 yen before tax and released in June 2022.
Digital appearances came next. The game Godzilla Battle Line offered the design as a skin for the Kiryū (Kai) during its Godzilla X EVA: Tokyo Battle event on 17 March 2023, and on 23 December 2023 it joined the PC11 BS Premium Card Set in the Battle Spirits collaboration. Bandai then announced a soft vinyl Movie Monster Series figure in April 2024, roughly 165mm tall and priced at 4,950 yen, for a September 2024 release. PLEX added a super deformed 4cm soft vinyl in October 2025 through the GODZILLA vs. EVANGELION Mini Sofvi Chronicle line, including a clear glitter variation.
No canonical pilot exists for this recolor; players effectively wield it through the Godzilla Battle Line skin and the Battle Spirits cards. The most recent physical release is a 9cm Gekizo Series / HYPER MODELING miniature derived from the 2023 set that sculpted both the 2002 Kiryū and the 2003 Kai. Modeled by 渡辺結樹 (G-tempest) and colored by 下村広泰 and 増島凪冴, it launched in June 2026 at 3,278 yen per figure or 13,112 yen for the box set, with a metallic limited edition sold through GODZILLA STORE, Premium Bandai, Tokyo Figure, and the Art Spirits online shop.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
