UX-1 Allegorica

The UX-1 Allegorica is a support unit for Evangelions appearing in the Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA novel series. Its profile evokes a vulture or some other bird of prey, and both sides of the module carry the painted phrase FLY ME TO THE MOON, a reference to the television series' closing song and, by extension, the Bart Howard standard behind it.

An Allegorica mates with an Eva through the three-point socket normally reserved for the Umbilical Cable. Once attached, the module's onboard N2 Reactor supplies the Evangelion with unlimited operating power, severing its dependence on external energy, while its propulsion opens up both atmospheric flight and sub-orbital travel through space.

Two Evangelions fly with the module. Asuka Langley Sohryu pilots Evangelion Unit-02 Type II Allegorica, which resembles a winged take on the centaur of Greek myth and launches on its first sortie toward the Moon to face Armaros. Evangelion Unit-00 Type F Allegorica was planned for Rei Ayanami before being refitted for Rei Six; the Eva wields the Magoruku Exterminate Sword Stage 2, and an armament called the Angel Spine cannon mounts directly on the module.
