Xeno Rex Production Model-02 is a transforming figure modeled on Evangelion Production Model-02, created for the EVANGELION 30th Anniversary x ZOIDS T-SPARK collaboration and produced by TAKARA TOMY within its SYNERGENEX line. Its full designation reads Multipurpose Beast-type Decisive Weapon Mechanical Beast Xeno Rex Production Model-02. The manufacturer unveiled the toy on 14 May 2025, showing an unpainted prototype at the Shizuoka Hobby Show; preorders opened on 03 July 2025 ahead of a late February 2026 release at a suggested 6,600 yen with tax.

In its fictional profile, the machine is NERV's militarized rebuild of a Xeno Rex regenerated from its core, and its resonance binds it exclusively to EVA Unit-02. Control comes either from a dedicated pilot or through the Xeno Rex Dummy System, which lets the beast fight in concert with Unit-02 itself. During combat it has been known to roar and slip into a rampaging state. A clear canopy has been fitted into the creature's head, and its armament comprises paired Pallet Rifles, two Progressive Knives sized for Unit-02, and a pair of Pencil Roc weapons.

NERV operates the machine, with Asuka Shikinami Langley and the Xeno Rex Dummy System listed as its crew. The lore traces its origin to a glowing spherical metal lifeform stirring inside the GeoFront under Tokyo-3, one of several dug from deep Antarctic strata along with other metallic skeletons. NERV labeled these organisms Cores, prized their nearly inexhaustible energy output, and found that each Core's pulse pattern resonated with only one specific Evangelion. By grafting on spare Eva parts, the agency restored the lifeform to its original shape and christened the result the Multipurpose Beast-type Decisive Weapon Xeno Rex, a hoped-for new weapon against the Angels.
