Amagi Izuno

Age shows heavily on Amagi, a small woman deeply lined with wrinkles and missing one of her upper right teeth. Her white hair is gathered into a bun, and she wears green robes over a grey shirt.

Much like Wasabi's parents, Amagi is a warmly passionate woman, especially about her granddaughter and the potential she sees in her. She takes great pride in the clan's history and longs to watch it thrive, openly certain that Wasabi is the one who will carry it to greatness. She can also come across as a touch senile, forever reshaping the details of her stories.

As Wasabi was growing up, Amagi often told her tales of the clan and its jutsu, but she made each retelling grander than the last until the girl stopped believing them and decided her grandmother had simply invented it all. As head of the Izuno clan, Amagi is presumed well-versed in its secret cat-based techniques.

During the finals of the Chunin Exams, she visited Wasabi before the match and, together with her parents, voiced her confidence in the girl, leaving her with a scroll containing the very jutsu from those old stories. Midway through the bout, Mazuma covered Amagi's ears so she would not hear Wasabi admit to Iwabee her own lack of faith and the weight of her family's expectations. In the end, Amagi beamed with pride when Wasabi drew on the clan's technique to save Iwabee.
