Curse Jutsu Master

Little is revealed of the man beyond his ruthless ambition. His aim is to engineer an ultimate ninja powerful enough to destroy every village and nation, and he thinks nothing of manipulating Naruto into doing his groundwork toward that goal.

Kakashi Hatake describes him as one of the rare individuals who can seal their own chakra into dolls. From that art he crafts cursed dolls, including ones that take on other people's forms, and he directs them in battle as his instruments.

Naruto and Sakura Haruno first cross paths with him after destroying a curse doll shaped like Naruto himself. He then tasks Naruto with tracking down thirty-seven dolls strewn across the map, only to reveal afterward that he had scattered them there on purpose as part of his plan. He flees while Naruto fends off six of his dolls, and a Konoha search party traces him to Orochimaru's deserted hideout near Kusagakure. There Naruto discovers that the master's own ultimate creation, modelled on Naruto in Sage Mode, has already cut him down; once the final doll falls, Konohagakure takes him into custody.
