Ameyuki is a Mud Release wielder whose kekkei genkai made him an outcast and, eventually, a highly prized name in the Bingo Book. Haunted by the death of his only friend Hohozuki, he lives on under that friend's name in the hidden haven of Shangri-la, quietly hoping someone will finally come to end him.
Ameyuki's skin is brown and his build lean and smooth, crowned by silver hair. His features read as strongly androgynous, ambiguous enough that Kakuzu could only guess he was male.
Born with a kekkei genkai, Ameyuki drew the fear and loathing of nearly everyone in his home village, save for a single friend named Hohozuki. When slavers raided the settlement and hauled off its women and children, Hohozuki among them, Ameyuki hunted the raiders down and cut them apart with his Mud Release. The rescue earned him no gratitude; the terrified villagers turned on him, and after a planned escape to Shangri-la leaked out, they murdered Hohozuki. Enraged, Ameyuki slaughtered them in return, an act that placed a steep bounty on his head.
Burdened by guilt yet honouring his friend's dying wish to keep living, he reached Shangri-la and used a Transformation to take on Hohozuki's face and name. He even sculpted a mud duplicate of himself to trail behind as a servant, naming it Ameyuki; Kakuzu read this as a man wishing to be discovered and killed. In the nearby Valley of Lies, Ameyuki crossed paths with Kakuzu and Hidan mid-killing, and grew fascinated by Hidan's self-stabbing Jashin ritual. As Hidan preached the faith, Ameyuki felt its pull toward salvation through pain, though he balked at the demand to slay one's neighbour, only reassured when Hidan swore he would never count Kakuzu as such.
That night the two Akatsuki fell on Shangri-la to harvest its bounties. Ameyuki sought them out, dropped his disguise once his mud copy was destroyed, and named Hidan his neighbour, meaning he was ready to kill him. His Mud Release baffled Hidan at first, letting him force mud down the man's throat until Hidan pierced his own lung to breathe, but Hidan eventually secured a blood sample and lured Ameyuki into the valley, where a tree stump gave him a surface Ameyuki's power could not turn to mud. Pinned by Hidan's ritual and eager to die, Ameyuki chose to take a final sacrifice with him: quoting Jashin's law, he brought a mountain down on Shangri-la with Mud Release: Landslide, wiping out its remaining inhabitants. Impressed, Hidan drove a blade into his own heart to finish him, and Kakuzu, prizing the corpse as the settlement's most valuable, urged him to hurry the closing rite, which Hidan instead drew out to honour his martyr.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
