Disonasu

Age shows plainly on Disonasu, an old man whose yellow eyes sit beneath dark brown brows above a greying beard. A brown cloth wraps his head to hide the scarring Pain once inflicted, and the covering matches the brown of his jacket and trousers.

Courtesy and calm form the mask Disonasu wears, complete with feigned disgust at the slaughter of Tonika Village. All of it is theater. The man beneath is ruthless and self-serving, willing to condemn an entire village to death for his ambitions, and once unmasked he turns crude, cold, and openly vicious, earning Kakashi's label of a murderer.

His defeat by Pain left him consumed by a grudge and a hunger for power that curdled into obsession the moment he heard of the Ama no Hoko. Toward Naruto, oddly, he shows a flicker of gratitude for bringing the Akatsuki leader down.

Long a wanted killer credited with countless deaths and skilled in summoning, Disonasu once clashed with Pain, lost, and was left horribly scarred. Chasing the strength he felt he had forfeited, he reinvented himself as a scholar of The Hole and took command of Hacho Village to hunt down the Saezuri, a device that could raise the Ama no Hoko. He also studied the Impure World Reincarnation technique alongside Orochimaru.

Working through Kabuto, he wiped out Tonika Village to seize the Saezuri and the Sounds needed to wake the weapon, killing its head through reincarnated shinobi. Posing as a concerned investigator, he even led Yamato and Sai to his research and begged them to punish Kabuto, hiding his own hand in the atrocity. His duplicity unravels once Naruto and Dokku are captured: he openly blames Dokku, summons the Saezuri, and activates the Ama no Hoko.

As he climbs the risen structure to drink in its power, a transformed clone of Naruto bursts free and hurls him clear of The Hole. Kabuto discovers him near death the following day and, disgusted by his failure, ends his life.
