Gantetsu (Iwagakure)

Squinting dark eyes and heavy sideburns frame Gantetsu's face, topped by a spiky mop of muted black hair. His outfit runs to the flashy: a white jacket suit with a raised collar layered over a yellow collared shirt and a blue tie.

Boastful and coarse, Gantetsu leans hard on the fearsome reputation he claims for himself. He turns aggressive the moment things do not go his way, quick to threaten or strike anyone who crosses him, and he indulges an expensive taste for designer clothing, sparing no money on a fine garment.

Gantetsu bragged of having once been a feared chunin back in Iwagakure, the so-called Legendary Dark Shinobi, before leaving the village to chase an easier, more indulgent life. He settled around Tanzaku Quarters with his partner Choseki. Trouble found him when Naruto spilled food across his prized jacket, and Gantetsu demanded the boy cover the steep cost of a replacement. The confrontation ended badly for him, as Jiraiya flattened both him and Choseki with a Rasengan and helped himself to Gantetsu's money to pay for a cart that had been wrecked, the one belonging to Kazabune. Supplementary databook material files both Gantetsu and Choseki under the label of fallen ninja.
