Appearance
As its name promises, the creature is an anteater scaled up to enormous size. Its defining trait is an extremely long tongue coated in a sticky film, the same organ that lets it both feed and fight.
Abilities
Its natural feeding instinct turns it into a living counter for any ninja who leans on parasitic bugs. A single sweep of the elongated, tacky tongue can scoop up whole clusters of insects at once, robbing an opponent of the very swarm they depend on. That same tongue also works as a lash in battle, striking hard enough to erase Naruto Uzumaki's shadow clones.
History
The beast turns up during the Past Arc: The Locus of Konoha. Fighting beside its handler, it whipped out its tongue and tore apart Naruto's duplicates. When Shino Aburame moved to strike from concealment, the anteater simply devoured his kikaichu before the ambush could land. Its rampage ended once Shino wound the creature's own tongue around a tree, leaving it bound and beaten.
