Isago's father, Gojo makes his home in the deserts of the Wind Country. War once razed everything he owned and turned him bitter toward shinobi, so he keeps to himself on a patch of ground he refuses to surrender, even to people who want to raise a power plant where he lives.

Personality

Hard years have made Gojo blunt with anyone from outside. He holds that people can change when they must, and having endured so much himself, he wants a brighter life for his daughter. Stubbornly he keeps his home and land going despite the brutal setting, and he will not sell even knowing the plant would help many. He nearly caved when Isago was taken captive, yet her rescue by Boruto softened how he sees shinobi.

History

Amid the Fourth Shinobi World War, soldiers from his own nation burned all he owned as they hunted for enemies in hiding, and the ordeal soured him on ninja permanently. He pulled back to the sands to bring up Isago by himself. Later a group came wanting to raise a power plant on his plot and pushed him to give it up, but he would not budge. When his daughter saved Boruto, Gojo demanded the boy leave the instant he was well and waved off his offer to fix the fence, recounting why ninja disgust him. An alarm that night revealed the fence smashed by the people pestering him for the property. Once Boruto had gone, those tormentors seized Isago to force the transfer, only for Boruto to rescue them both; grateful, Gojo handed over a trolley he had built so the boy could catch his train. Some time later Urashiki assaulted his home, and Boruto and Shinki turned up hoping to borrow his transmitter, pulled him from the wreckage, and discovered it destroyed. Realizing Urashiki had prepared an ambush along the route to the Land of Fire, Gojo steered them onto a hidden path the locals knew and let them send a decoy toward the trap, offering Boruto his thanks before they went their separate ways.
