Hinoto
CharacterHinoto is a kunoichi who once belonged to Root, the covert Anbu offshoot run by Danzō Shimura in Konohagakure. She twice failed to keep Danzō's secrets safe, first in a botched attempt on Hiruzen's life and later when Kakashi Hatake broke through her guard with the Sharingan.
Appearance
Hinoto keeps her long, glossy hair, dark with a bluish cast, gathered into a ponytail, and she dresses in the standard Anbu gear. A sword rides across her shoulder, purple markings decorate her cat-shaped mask, and red pearl earrings complete the look.
History
To keep Hiruzen from returning to the office of Hokage, Danzō handed Hinoto and nine fellow Root operatives the task of killing him. She took on the guise of a kunoichi from another land and clashed with the escort protecting her mark, only for that guard to be Kakashi in disguise, and the plot collapsed.
Three years afterward, Hinoto and Hinoe stood watch at the entrance to the Root chambers when Yūgao Uzuki and Kakashi Hatake arrived carrying orders to deliver Danzō to the Third Hokage. Yūgao departed once told that Danzō was away; Kakashi then uncovered his face and put Hinoe under his Sharingan. Hinoto moved to strike him but was subdued with ease, after which Kakashi trapped her in a genjutsu to draw out what she knew of Kinoe's location.
