Appearance

Jura presents as a grown man with sharp, chiseled features but no hair and no brows. His attire, like that of the other thinking Human God Trees, is woven from Claw Marks: a tall-collared black cloak, long and studded, that carries his own emblem in turquoise trim, studded cots capping his middle fingers, and a studded black beret molded to look like a groomed swirl of hair, all above ragged black trousers. He seems human until the details give him away, a set of purple Rinnegan for eyes and three-toed feet like a Claw Grime's, their front toes wrapped in studded bands resembling footwear. Magatama ring his belly, and a symbol shaped like a Rinnegan marks his back.

Personality

Jura steps in as leader of the awakened Human God Trees, steering them with counsel and encouragement and generally serving as their voice. He stays calm and casual, rarely rattled, and as a talkative, philosophical sort he argues that people are chained to their emotions and easily knocked off their path, though the phenomenon increasingly intrigues him once he sees how it drives growth. Keen and analytical, he unpicks the workings of an enemy technique almost at a glance and reads a person's manner to sense their real nature.

A deep curiosity about the world grips him, both the way minds work and the general course of events, so he buries himself in books and studies anyone he deems important, prizing libraries and refusing to let them come to harm. Detached from how his deeds affect others, he still avoids fights where he can and offers people the chance to step aside, and he will honestly pay for whatever he wants. He has taken to sweets and easy walks, respects those with genuine conviction, yet turns wholly ruthless the moment combat is truly joined. In time he even grows attached to a few individuals, savoring Hidari's company most of all, while his mounting hunger fixes on Naruto Uzumaki, whom he means to consume in hopes of better grasping his own being.

Abilities

Standing as the direct flesh of Kara's Ten-Tails, Jura owes his origin to the Ōtsutsuki strains of Isshiki and Shibai, and that lineage makes him a creature more terrible than his own creator, Code, and the single most menacing of the Human God Trees. Neither Boruto nor Kawaki believed their raw Ōtsutsuki power combined could fell him, and Koji Kashin, after peering across untold futures, cautioned that a serious Jura would be beyond anyone on earth to halt.

He drifts and flies effortlessly, and having been shaped in part from Claw Marks he can spawn and steer them, slipping through them or yanking faraway targets to himself. A shared web of senses ties him to every Human God Tree, and he can locate and pursue others by their chakra. From his eye he calls up a Tailed Beast Ball, sized huge for devastation or tiny for pinpoint work, and he can loose a slender beam to snipe from far off. His Wood Release fuses earth and water into timber constructs, from skewering spikes that catch several enemies together to limbs that meld back into him and knit closed any wound or lost part. In close quarters he overpowers, splintering Kawaki's modifications and snapping bone one-handed, and he shrugs off the Rasengan named Uzuhiko and carries on even with his skull run through.

When Boruto tailed Code into the dimension where the Ten-Tails sat caged, that remnant abruptly vanished and rose again as Jura together with his fellows Matsuri and Hidari, all now self-aware. Chasing his urge to devour Naruto, Jura instead followed the trail to Himawari Uzumaki, snaring her in Wood Release before she awakened as the freshly risen Nine-Tails jinchūriki and beat him back until Boruto carried her off. He gunned Boruto down but spared him on learning that an accomplice had leaked God Tree secrets to the boy, then revived the slain Hidari, presided over Ryū's birth, tore off Code's hand, and cut a deal with him. Through the arcs that came after he swapped blows with Boruto and Kawaki, grew certain Naruto still drew breath, and, undone to tears by a novel, confessed a widening sense of love even as he thirsted to know still more.
