History
A deadly plague known as the Dark Cloud spreads through Kanchi's village and leaves him bedridden, with his father Kokushi tending to him. When Boro turns up with his Ōtsutsuki Cult, claiming they have come to save the villagers, Kokushi distrusts the outsiders. After Boro appears to heal Kokushi, the grateful father begs him to cure Kanchi as well.
