Karai

Karai is a young man with dark skin and dark eyes, his blond hair standing in spikes with a streak of deep orange down the left side. He wears Kumogakure's common uniform, its collar turned up and its sleeves frayed at the shoulders.

His loyalty borders on the absolute. Karai prized the Raikage's pride above his own survival and refused aid from anyone outside Kumo, even snapping at his comrade Amai for addressing Tsunade with a respectful honorific, since she belonged to a rival village.

Returning from a covert job in Sugi Village with a stolen kinjutsu, Karai travelled alongside Nigai and the Fourth Raikage when the mercenary Nokizaru Group ambushed them to reclaim the scroll. The trio escaped, but an Exploding Insect had been planted microscopically inside each of them; Nigai detonated after lashing out at the enemy, and Karai halted his own strike just short of the same end. Amai's effort to heal him failed, and despite his protests Tsunade was fetched, with Shizune extracting the insect while Amai assisted the surgery. In combat he calls on Lightning Release, unleashing the Lightning Strike technique against the Nokizaru mercenaries.
