Kayui has a knack for traps, teaming with his comrades Yurui and Nurui to rig a clever snare that turned the surrounding terrain and Earth Release against their target. He is also notably durable, weathering a Lightning Release strike from Ameyuri Ringo and living through it. In the Fourth Shinobi World War, he and the remnants of Yurui's unit regrouped and, on Nurui's call, tried to flee Ameyuri; when Omoi went to confront her, Kayui returned at his side and was struck down, recovering only after the Third Division sealed her in a marsh trap, at which point he departed with the others.
