Korobi

Korobi has small, dark eyes and turns out in the usual Suna-nin gear: a flak jacket, a forehead protector, and a ghutrah over his head.

Puppetry is his specialty, a craft he shares with his partner Yaoki. Among his puppets is a particular kind built to shoot jets of water. Wielding nothing but a long staff, he once bested several Anbu-class foes, a feat that betrays solid skill with the bo staff.

As relations between the two villages warmed once more, Korobi was placed on a squad with Gaara to clear out bandits holed up in the stretch between Suna and Konoha, the same job handed to Team 7. He could not shake his dread of Gaara at the start, haunted by the killer Gaara had once been. When the Suna Assassin Captain trapped Gaara, the young Kazekage urged Korobi and Yaoki to flee. Running into Naruto, they let slip that Gaara had been taken, and Naruto pressed them on why they would desert a friend. The two paused, unsure whether Gaara truly counted as one, then charged back in with a dramatic declaration that he was indeed their friend and an apology for leaving. They helped Naruto free him, and afterward, when Gaara asked them to say it again, they gladly repeated that they were his friends.
