Mabui

Green-eyed and dark-skinned, Mabui carries herself with strict formality. She favours a long-sleeved dress shirt with a high collar over a skirt, rounded out by long earrings and heeled sandals. Her pale grey hair is tied up in a bun, a single bang left loose along each cheek.

Cool-headed when things grow tense, Mabui tackles each assignment the instant it lands on her. She shares Darui's weariness at the Raikage's habit of crashing out a window of his office rather than the door, and hints he has pulled the same stunt before. The anime frames her as markedly polite, attaching honorifics even to Naruto and B, the former younger than she is.

The talent that defines Mabui is the Heavenly Transfer Technique, able to fling matter across enormous distances at light speed, and it is that gift which won her the role of Raikage's aide. She first turns up alongside A after the clash between Sasuke Uchiha and Killer B at the storied Valley of Clouds and Lightning, assigned to set up the Kage Summit.

Through the Fourth Shinobi World War she operates from the command post: she teleports the sealed Kohaku no Johei over to Darui at the front to help bind Kinkaku, then helps Shikaku Nara pore over battlefield reports. When Tsunade insists on reaching the front herself, Mabui balks, cautioning that the transfer was never built for living passengers and that the Third Raikage alone, with his unusual body, could bear it. Overruled by A, she at last, and with great reluctance, whisks A and Tsunade off to the spot marked out by Dodai. Once the Ten-Tails comes of age and hurls a Tailed Beast Ball into the command post, she perishes with almost everyone present. She surfaces briefly, too, in the film Naruto the Movie: Blood Prison.
