His look centres on short green hair gathered by two yellow ties, grey lipstick, thick brows framing pale grey eyes, and skin of a washed-out tone. He goes about in a shirt patterned in black and white over dark trousers, and a cursed-seal collar rides at his neck. Triggering the seal remakes him entirely: the whites of his eyes blacken, the irises glow red, his flesh turns a muddy grey-brown, and he bloats into a monster whose right arm balloons wildly against the rest of his frame.

Cruelty defines him as much as it does his sister; the pain of others delights him, and he mocks his victims while they suffer. He is equally in thrall to power, savouring the rush of might the cursed seal feeds him and treating any real challenge as a welcome test of that strength.

During the Jugo Arc, the siblings cut off Team 15 before the squad could signal Konoha for reinforcements, and they used the encounter to trial their collar-based cursed seals. The seals pinned down Wasabi Izuno and Namida Suzumeno, leaving Sumire Kakei to slip away with Nue in tow. Momo and Sasami then passed themselves off as Land of Rivers researchers, hauling the two infected genin back and assuring Team 7 that the pair had merely been found unconscious, with Sumire nowhere in sight.

When the settlement rounded on the Leaf ninja, the pair were dispatched to track down the shinobi still at large in the woods. They pursued a figure they mistook for Sumire, but Sasami saw through the ruse as the runner deliberately kept just out of reach; Momo peeled off toward the base and cut the genuine Sumire off as she fled with the two infected girls. His collar-fuelled transformation proved more than the young ninja could handle, so Namida and Wasabi poured their chakra into Nue, swelling it into its greater form. That gamble paid off: Nue and Sumire brought Momo down and smashed the collar apart.
