Appearance

Sasami's long green hair is echoed in her thick eyebrows, framing light grey eyes above grey-painted lips and a pale face. Her outfit centres on a kimono jacket patterned black and white, clasped by a belt, along with knee-length sandals and dark shorts, plus two yellow ties knotted around her head and a cursed-seal collar device at her neck. Once that seal activates, her eyes flood red against blackened sclera, her skin takes on a grey-brown cast, and her body warps into a monstrous, almost equine shape.

Personality

Sasami takes after her brother in cruelty, savouring the pain of others and mocking them with obvious glee. Power intoxicates her, and she revels in the surge her cursed seal delivers. For all her viciousness, she stays sharp in a fight, reading the intent behind an opponent's movements well enough to catch a ruse.

History

In the Jugo Arc, Sasami and Momo intercept Team 15 before they can call Konoha for reinforcements, using the encounter to trial their cursed-seal devices on Namida Suzumeno and Wasabi Izuno while Sumire Kakei escapes with Nue. Passing themselves off as Land of Rivers researchers, the siblings deliver the infected pair back to the village and mislead Team 7 about Sumire's whereabouts. When the Land of Rivers faction seizes Jugo for experimentation, Sasami and her brother look on.

Later sent to sweep the forest, they spot a figure they take for Sumire and give chase. Sasami realises the target is deliberately leading them on and presses ahead alone, running into Sarada and Karin. Transforming, she toys with the two as prey, but Karin's sensing and Sarada's Sharingan allow the pair to keep pace. Though a draining Sarada takes a hard hit, Karin pins Sasami with her chakra chains, buying Sarada the moment she needs to siphon some of Karin's chakra and land a crushing punch that knocks her out and shatters the collar.
