Nanafushi

A pointed chin and spiky brown hair cropped short define Nanafushi, whose black eyes carry a green tint along their lower edge. A slim red band is tied around his head. His outfit layers a dark turtleneck with long sleeves under a lilac cape, finished with grey shorts, tall socks, and sandals.

Brimming with self-assurance, Nanafushi rates his own talents highly and privately boasts that he is certain to expose a strange village's secrets. That pride coexists with a nagging worry about being uncovered by Konoha. When the children of the Hidden Leaf display a power he cannot withstand, his confidence gives way to real astonishment.

Skilled enough to breach Konoha without setting off any alarm, Nanafushi relies heavily on the Transformation Technique, using it convincingly enough to trick a shinobi of Might Guy's caliber. He also proves physically tough, enduring a drawn-out clash with taijutsu specialists, surviving a fall from height, and crashing through walls with his body while avoiding any grave harm.

His assignment was to make off with Konoha's secrets. Transforming into a copy of Might Guy, he walked into the village and fooled Naruto, who took him for the genuine article and led him to Rock Lee's dojo. After weathering several bouts there, he faced the real Might Guy, at which point he shifted his disguise to impersonate Rock Lee instead. The infiltrator was hauled off to Tsunade's office, and in a twist she then tasked the group with tracking down Nanafushi, producing a fair bit of confusion given that they already had him in custody. The name Nanafushi refers to the stick insect, and once Might Guy defeats him and his real form surfaces, the green markings beneath his eyes vanish.
