Osoi
CharacterOsoi is a genin of Kumogakure and the father of Musai. He died fighting at the side of the celebrated ninja Toroi, and was later dragged back to the living world by mistake when Orochimaru meant to reincarnate his far stronger comrade instead.
Personality
A ninja with no small amount of pride, Osoi urged his son to cover for his lack of skill and to make certain the Raikage remembered the sacrifice he had made. For all that pride, he held genuine reverence for Toroi, freely acknowledging his old partner's greater talent.
Abilities
Osoi showed nothing remarkable in combat, and by his son Musai's own account he never even cleared the Chunin Exams. Even so, he managed to stand in battle beside one of the Cloud's most renowned shinobi.
History
Osoi met his end fighting at Toroi's side. Years later Orochimaru, aiming to reincarnate Toroi through the Impure World Reincarnation, accidentally summoned Osoi instead; once the error was explained, he and Kabuto decided to hold on to him regardless. In the Fourth Shinobi World War, Kabuto sent this weakest of his pawns forward to help unseal his stronger ones. Amid the fighting against the Allied Shinobi Forces, Osoi caught sight of his son Musai, and after the two spoke for a while he was sealed away. When the reincarnation technique was finally undone, his spirit passed back to the afterlife.
