Sen

Two small white fans trimmed with fur are Sen's constant companions. Her sandy-brown hair is gathered in a ponytail, with a pair of loose strands falling beside each cheek and two braided strands as well, and she wears her forehead protector across the top of her head. Her brown, black-pupiled eyes sit above an outfit of mesh armor worn under a red tube dress, cinched by a blue-purple belt and completed with fingerless gloves, shin guards, and black sandals.

Kind and even-tempered, Sen looks out for her teammates and describes herself as cautious, preferring not to engage a foe until they are already incapacitated. As a child she played with Yome and Temari, and while still in the Academy she and Yome watched from a distance as Shira was ridiculed for his weak ninjutsu and genjutsu. Seeing him keep training in taijutsu despite being barred from enrollment, the two came to admire him, and they celebrated when the new Fifth Kazekage, Gaara, changed the rules to let him attend.

Sen is a skilled genjutsu user, able to snare enemies such as Team Guy again and again without their noticing. One of her methods uses cactus pollen to loop several victims through the same stretch of ground repeatedly in their minds, and the foresight to lay such a trap ahead of time marks her as clever. She also handles her fans well in close range, blocking strikes and blending them with her illusions. During In Naruto's Footsteps: The Friends' Paths, her team joins the exams jointly run by Konohagakure and Suna. The written first phase split the participants into rooms, with Sen placed in room two, where Shikamaru Nara laid out the test by monitor, and her squad passed by reaching exactly 100 combined points and leaving the bonus question blank. A race to Suna then trimmed the crowded field to thirty qualifying teams, which they managed to join, before Temari opened the second round inside the Demon Desert.

Following Shira's plan to see every Suna-nin advance, Sen blanketed the area with genjutsu to steer enemies away from allies, and the team dropped Team Guy into the Sand Waterfall Pit. Afterward, other Suna-nin betrayed her group as easy prey and stripped Sen of her fans, only for Team Guy to climb out and rescue them, forcing the attackers to retreat. When Lee later chased down the traitors and his own teammates saved him from a group assault, Shira arrived begging the Konoha-nin to spare the enemies and offered up his scroll, and the chastened Suna-nin instead handed both teams their own scrolls. Sen watched Shira lose a friendly bout to Lee, then another to Matsuri, before the exams were cut short over the second round's controversy, leaving promotions to reports sent to each village leader. She said goodbye as Shira and Yome enlisted in a northern special force, teasing Yome about her crush and hoping the two would be all right.
