Shibire

Sandy brown hair rises in spikes above Shibire's face, framed by unusually thick sideburns. His outfit is a black jumpsuit fastened by a central zipper and finished with a pale collar. He also wears a Konoha forehead protector and straps a shuriken holster to his right leg.

Curiosity gets the better of Shibire easily, as when he cannot resist finding out what a sealed exam scroll contains. He is also quick to give in to discouragement, letting his confidence slip the moment a challenge starts to look hopeless.

Shibire and his teammates reach the second stage of the Chunin Exams during Part I. As their resolve falters, he and Minoji give in to temptation and open their scroll, a mistake that knocks them out cold and ends their run. In the anime he is later among the mourners at the Third Hokage's funeral.

Roughly two years afterward he returns for the joint exams that Sunagakure and Konohagakure host together. The written phase scatters each team across separate rooms, placing him in the first, where Shikamaru Nara explains that every member answers a single question and that the combined tally must land on exactly one hundred points. A final bonus question asks which teammate the group would sacrifice as a decoy, demanding a unanimous reply, and Shibire's team advances by leaving it blank. Their luck runs out in the preliminary that follows, a race to Suna open only to the first thirty teams to arrive, which his squad fails to make.
