Shinno is the villain of the film Naruto Shippuden the Movie: Bonds, a Land of the Sky medical-nin who masqueraded for years as a saintly village doctor. Behind the kindness lay a scheme to harvest Dark Chakra and seize the power of the Zero-Tails.
In his everyday guise Shinno is an aged man, his long grey hair swept back to meet muttonchops that flow into a matching beard, with thick, tidy brows a shade darker. Yellow eyes sit within deep bags and tear troughs that lend him a severe cast not unlike Itachi or Fugaku Uchiha, a sternness that softens into false warmth while his cover holds and sharpens into cruelty once it slips. He dresses in a black shirt beneath a white gi trimmed in brown and blue, a sleeveless red jacket edged with gold, and plain blue trousers, and once wore a dark red bandanna that he passed to Amaru.
Fusing the Body Revival Technique with Dark Chakra transforms him utterly, for his hair and beard blacken and grow wild, his frame swells with muscle until his upper garments tear away, and the years seem to fall from his face. The reversal is just as drastic, since once Sasuke disrupts his chakra he collapses into a gaunt, balding husk, his hair grey and thinning and his brows and beard reduced to stubble.
Shinno first presents himself as a selfless healer who abandoned combat to preserve life, sparing no patient his skill and warmly taking in the orphan Amaru when illness left the rest of her village too fearful to help. That gentleness is pure performance. For roughly fifteen years he played the kindly doctor while secretly siphoning Dark Chakra from the townsfolk's despair, and his real nature is manipulative, callous, and swollen with arrogance.
When the mask finally drops, he sneers at Amaru's heartbreak, tears apart the bandanna he had given her, and laughs off her confession of love while crowning himself the Sky Emperor. His fatal flaw is that same conceit, for all his mastery of the human mind he never grasps how bonds let people rise above the darkness he feeds on, and Amaru's release of her grief cuts off his power at its source.
Shinno pairs a razor intellect with formidable ninjutsu. His command of medicine is extraordinary, letting him perform flawless surgery with only basic tools and no chakra, and his grasp of the human psyche makes him a masterful manipulator who once noted that no one suspects the person who saved their life. He is the acknowledged master of the forbidden Regeneration Techniques, which he taught to Orochimaru, and his skill runs deep enough to feign death convincingly enough to fool even Sakura Haruno before reviving himself.
He also wields fuinjutsu, using a seal to pilot the flying fortress Ancor Vantian. Combining his Body Revival Technique with Dark Chakra, he reshapes himself into what he calls the ultimate body, drawing on chakra freely without hand seals, gaining crushing strength and near-teleporting speed, and firing off dark shockwaves and bolts for devastating internal harm. Driven to the edge, he fuses with the Zero-Tails to absorb his enemies' chakra, though the Dark Chakra steadily eats away at his mind and flesh until Naruto and Sasuke finally undo him.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
