Shinobu Mibu

Brown hair standing in spikes and a pair of dark eyes are about all that shows of Shinobu. He wears the regular Konoha uniform with one striking alteration, since the clothing beneath his flak jacket rises to sheathe his whole head like a bodysuit, leaving only his eyes uncovered, and his forehead protector is fixed directly to the fabric.

Shinobu is an inquisitive sort, quick to ask questions, and he does not lack for bravery. That courage can tip into recklessness, however, as when he ordered a mass of shinobi to charge straight at the enemy during Konoha's second invasion. He has been seen carrying a sword against Kirigakure's forces, which suggests at least some grounding in kenjutsu.

During the Chunin Exams, Shinobu helped Ibiki Morino guard one of the village gates and pressed him about what sort of man Orochimaru truly was, listening with dismay as Ibiki described never having seen his old comrade as quite human. When the assault began, Shinobu and his fellow guards could do little against Orochimaru's giant snakes until Jiraiya intervened, dropping the toad Gamahiro atop the creatures.

He resurfaced during Konoha's second invasion, rashly directing shinobi to meet Furido's squad head-on and earning a rebuke from Genma Shiranui before joining the wider fight. In the anime he later infiltrated an underground Akatsuki hideout as part of the Niju Shotai, returning to report that he had found nothing, and he was on hand at the Intelligence Division to escort a hostile Karin inside for questioning.
