Shiseru

At 32, Shiseru stands fairly tall with a curvy figure and light skin. Her black hair, wavy and reaching the middle of her back, is largely swept back save for a few loose strands across her face, though she lets it hang free when off duty. Full lips and blue eyes complete her look. On the job she wears a gold-trimmed dark blue uniform, switching to casual clothing at home. Large scars from her childhood mark much of her body.

Formal and guarded, Shiseru shows a serious, wary streak, pressing a blade to Yamato before she questions him. Her temper can spark fast: she slaps Miina almost at once for pestering Naruto, then is gripped by heavy remorse moments later. Underneath lies a tender, affectionate side that comes out in her care for Dokku and the children he saved. In her youth she was reckless and wild, the very trait that sent her tumbling off a cliff to earn her scars.

Shiseru grows up beside Dokku, whom she calls brother. A childhood tumble from a cliff nearly fifty metres high leaves her torso deeply scarred and unable to bear children. Unable to catch her as she fell, Dokku carries that guilt into a posting as a guard at Tonika Village, and the two slowly drift apart until they are near strangers. She becomes an officer of Hacho Village and a gifted swordswoman, quick and strong enough to sever a limb, with a working knowledge of medicine as well.

When Tonika Village is destroyed, Shiseru joins the investigation, interrogates Yamato, and soon confronts the shinobi Kabuto Yakushi has reincarnated, cutting down two before they simply regenerate, after which the group retreats to Hacho. There she reunites with Dokku and the orphans he has taken in, and their old bond slowly rekindles until the two agree to wed if they survive.

At the Ama no Hoko, history nearly repeats as she slips over a cliff edge, but Naruto rescues her while Dokku shuts the weapon down, leaving the newfound family whole and grateful.
