History
In childhood Tomari ran with Abiru, Tsuchino, and Kashike around Sunagakure. During one football game the group crossed paths with Gaara, whose loss of control caught them as they fled, and only Yashamaru's intervention spared them. In those same academy years, he and his friends threw stones at Shira for being unable to use ninjutsu or genjutsu. Over time his fear of Gaara faded entirely.
