Tsukino

White hair falls long down her back, gathered into a ponytail and pinned with an ornament shaped like yellow crescent moons. She has brown skin, green eyes, and a yellow gem set on her brow. Her outfit centres on a light blue mid-length kimono layered with black armour bearing twin crescent moons, an orange sash at the waist, a black protector strapped to her right forearm, and open-toed black boots, with a pair of tanto carried at her hip. Under Shinga's control, a dark grey mask streaked with red markings hides her face.

As the head of her village, Tsukino ranks among its strongest fighters. Her real speciality is fuinjutsu: she can lock away an enemy's chakra, undo existing seals, and rig sealing traps for the unwary. She has shown a measure of genjutsu skill as well, casting the Temple of Nirvana Technique even while an enemy's puppet. Away from battle, she brews medicine and blends perfume from the moon flowers she once gathered on a hillside with Naruto.

Years earlier, during Naruto's travels with Jiraiya, the boy was left in Tsukino's care and the two grew close. She showed him the fields of moon flowers and confided that she felt trapped by her fate as her father's successor. Naruto convinced her that traditions can be rewritten when they no longer serve, and in return she promised to stay true to herself and live freely, giving him a perfume pressed from moon petals as a parting gift. After her father died, she inherited the role of village head.

Later, Shinga seized control of Tsukigakure and of Tsukino herself through his Jibakugan, turning her into a weapon against Team Kakashi. She sealed away their chakra more than once and helped him break open a sealed hall in Konoha to steal forbidden techniques. When Naruto finally recognised her behind the shattered mask, he freed her using the very perfume she had given him, its scent disrupting the Jibakugan. Restored to herself, she guided his team to Tsukigakure, and in the end she sealed Shinga's chakra so that Naruto and Sasuke could finish him. She returned to lead her village without regret, convinced that Naruto was the hero of its old legend.
