Appearance

Dark eyes and brown hair define Yokaze's look, the latter falling in loose waves that he usually gathers into a ponytail low on his neck. Over his flak jacket he layers a physician's gown, and his headband marks him as part of the Allied Shinobi Forces. When the unit sets out to recover the stolen KIA scroll, he trades this for the plain garb of an ordinary Konoha shinobi and lets his hair hang free.

Personality

A seat within the Anbu is something Yokaze has longed for throughout his career, and he holds deep respect for anyone who has served in that elite corps. His readiness to put himself in harm's way defines him just as strongly, a trait he proves when he absorbs a dangerous blow meant for Yugao and pays for it with his own well-being.

History

Fine chakra control underpins Yokaze's healing work, letting him apply detailed medical ninjutsu, and he keeps a blade on hand that hints at swordsmanship even though he is never seen striking with it. His raw combat ability is far from trivial, since he can trade blows evenly against enemies capable of wiping out whole platoons of chunin single-handed. His footwork is quick as well, quick enough that he once darted into a descending slash aimed at Yugao and answered with a kick that launched Hayate Gekko a considerable distance.

The Fourth Shinobi World War placed him in the Logistical Support and Medical Division, where the mounting casualties left him admiring how smoothly Yugao Uzuki handled her duties and puzzling over why an Anbu operative had landed in a medical unit. Sukui then grouped him with Sakura Haruno and Iō to chase down a KIA scroll seized by a reincarnated Hayate Gekko and two revived shinobi from Sunagakure and Kumogakure. He tossed his sword toward Yugao so she could arm herself, but she froze, unable to raise a weapon against the man she had loved. After taking a wound in the clash, Yokaze was patched up by her, and he urged her onward, explaining that Hayate himself wanted her to be the one who stopped him. Handing over his blade and promising that reinforcements were near, he stayed behind. The operation ended in success, with the scroll recovered and all three reincarnated shinobi sealed away.
