Appearance

Red lipstick and dark eyes mark Yugito's face, and her long, straight blonde hair, sometimes tinted closer to green in colour art, is bound tight with bandages. A short-sleeved blouse in black and purple, patterned with cloud motifs to match her black trousers, makes up her outfit, worn with purple fingerless gloves and a loop of blue beads wound about her left hand. She carries the standard Kumogakure forehead protector along with sandals, a kunai pouch fastened to her right thigh, wrappings around her limbs, and a red sash at the waist.

Abilities

Yugito ranks among the strongest kunoichi Kumogakure has produced, respected even by the older Killer B. She channels Fire Release into a blazing sphere of hair that reshapes into a mouse, then scatters into individual burning strands that chase a target and burst on contact; drawing on Matatabi's power, she can loose a fireball large enough to level a building in one strike. In close quarters she lengthens her finger and toe nails into claws with her Claw Creation Technique, letting her trade blows with swordsmen and spring at airborne foes, striking first with her hands to force a guard before kicking with clawed feet.

She commands her transformation into the Two-Tails completely even without fully taming the beast, sheathing herself in dense, blue, flame-like chakra shaped like Matatabi, precise enough that she once supplied the creature's paw print for Nekobaa's Paw Encyclopaedia. A capable tactician, she famously drew two Akatsuki members into a sealed chamber to cut off their escape. After her revival she could partially transform to raise a single tail, shift into a Version 2 state, and slash with sweeping cat-like claws, and her paired Sharingan and Rinnegan let her attack with unusual precision.

History

Chosen as Matatabi's host at only two years old, Yugito endured a harsh training programme that ultimately let her command the transformation at will, and through relentless effort she grew into a proud, decisive fighter her comrades looked up to. Her debut came as she fled through the sewers from Hidan and Kakuzu; reaching the point where the tunnels converged, she revealed she had drawn the pair there on purpose and set off explosive tags to seal every exit, swearing that Akatsuki would not leave alive. She transformed fully into the Two-Tails, but after a devastating clash Hidan brought her down, and Zetsu carried her to the organisation's lair, where the sealing of her beast cost Yugito her life.

Kumogakure scrambled to save her, yet the sheer number of possible hideouts wasted precious time, and that failure later shaped how the village reacted when Killer B seemed to be taken, helping push the Fourth Raikage to call a Kage Summit. Kabuto Yakushi reincarnated her for the Fourth Shinobi World War, and Tobi reworked the revived hosts into his personal Six Paths of Pain, each fitted with a Rinnegan and Sharingan, a resealed tailed beast, and a chakra receiver. Alongside the other revived jinchuriki she hunted Naruto and Killer B, trading strikes with B and eventually transforming fully once more. When Naruto slipped into the shared consciousness of the tailed beasts, Yugito introduced herself and Matatabi and recalled Son Goku's foresight, and once her beast was resealed and the Impure World Reincarnation was undone, her soul finally returned to the afterlife.
